How to Create and Verify Your Meta Business Account

Overview

Before you can use ChatFlow for WhatsApp messaging, you need to create and verify your Meta Business Account (also known as Meta Business Manager). This is a mandatory step required by Meta to access the WhatsApp Business API.

Step 1: Create Your Meta Business Account

2. Click Create Account
3. Enter your business name, your name, and your business email address
4. Click Submit
5. Check your email and follow the confirmation link
6. You will now have access to your Meta Business Manager dashboard

Note: You need a personal Facebook account to create a Meta Business Account.

Step 2: Add Your Business Details

1. In Meta Business Manager, go to Business Settings (gear icon)
2. Under Business Info, fill in:
   - Legal business name
   - Business address
   - Business phone number
   - Business website URL
   - Business category
3. Save your changes

Step 3: Verify Your Business with Meta

Business verification is required to increase your messaging limits and unlock advanced WhatsApp API features.

1. In Meta Business Manager, go to Settings > Security Centre
2. Click Start Verification under Business Verification
3. Select your country and click Next
4. Choose your business type (e.g., Private Limited, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship)
5. Enter your business details (must match your legal documents exactly):
   - Legal business name
   - Business address
   - Phone number
   - Website
6. Upload supporting documents:
   - For Company Name: Certificate of Incorporation (COI) or GST Certificate
   - For Address Proof: Bank statement or utility bill in the company's name
7. Choose a verification method (email, phone, text, WhatsApp, or domain verification)
8. Enter the confirmation code you receive
9. Click Done

Verification typically takes 1-5 business days. Meta may request additional documents.

Documents Required for Indian Businesses

- Certificate of Incorporation (COI) issued by MCA
- GST Registration Certificate
- UDYAM/MSME Registration Certificate (for SMEs)
- Bank account statement or utility bill for address proof
- Official domain email (e.g., name@yourbusiness.com)
