Overview
After creating and verifying your Meta Business Account, the next step is to add and register your WhatsApp phone number inside Meta Business Manager. This phone number will be used by ChatFlow to send and receive WhatsApp messages on your behalf.

Prerequisites
Before adding a WhatsApp number, make sure you have:
- A verified Meta Business Account
- A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) created in Meta Business Manager
- A phone number that is NOT already registered with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app
- If your number is currently active on WhatsApp, you must delete the WhatsApp account first
Step 1: Access WhatsApp Manager in Meta Business Manager
2. Click on Business Settings (gear icon in the left sidebar)
3. Under Accounts, click WhatsApp Accounts
4. Select your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
Step 2: Add a Phone Number
1. In WhatsApp Manager, click on Phone Numbers in the left menu
2. Click Add Phone Number
3. Fill in your WhatsApp Business profile details:
- Display name (your business name as it will appear to customers)
- Business category
- Business description
4. Click Next
5. Enter your phone number with country code (e.g., +91XXXXXXXXXX for India)
6. Choose your verification method: SMS or Voice Call
7. Click Send Verification Code
8. Enter the 6-digit code you receive
9. Click Verify
Step 3: Get Your Phone Number ID and WABA ID for ChatFlow
After verification, you need two important credentials to connect your number to ChatFlow:
1. In WhatsApp Manager, go to Settings > Business Account Info
2. Copy your WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID)
3. Go to Phone Numbers
4. Click on your verified number
5. Copy the Phone Number ID
Step 4: Connect to ChatFlow
2. Go to Settings > WhatsApp or Channel Setup
3. Click Add WhatsApp Number or Connect WhatsApp
4. Follow the ChatFlow embedded onboarding flow (powered by Meta)
5. Authorize ChatFlow to access your WhatsApp Business Account
6. Select your verified phone number
7. Click Finish
Your WhatsApp number is now connected to ChatFlow and ready to send and receive messages.
Important Notes
- Each phone number can only be registered to one WhatsApp solution at a time
- Display names are reviewed by Meta and must follow WhatsApp's display name guidelines
- Using a landline number is possible but requires voice call verification
